Children’s Climate Change March 2023 Launched

Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green launched the Children’s Climate Change March at Mother Majeri Primary School in Kirinya, Wakiso district, on October 16, in the presence of over 1000 green ambassadors.

The two kilometre March slated for November 11 will start and end at the Kampala Capital City Authority Hall. The event was graced by Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green patron, Samson Kasumba who called upon children to protect the environment around them. Local musician Daxx Cartel was also present to give the children entertainment, deserving of the launch.

Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green is a civil society organization that nurtures and empowers children as the main drivers of environmental conservation education in their schools and communities. They instill passion and love for the environment among the children using fun and entertainment activities.

Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green has in the past organized Annual Green Festivals at Kololo Airstrip where the president has twice attended and endorsed the Little Hands Go Green campaign.

The march is organized in partnership with the Ministry of Water and Environment, KCCA’s Climate Change Department, Harris International, National Environment Management Authority and National Forestry Authority. It is expected to bring together more than 150 schools from the Little Hands Go Green network.
