Celebrating 11 Years of Pioneering a Green Future for Our Children

11 years ago today, Little Hands Go Green was born, with our journey of climate action starting in Yumbe district, in the West Nile sub-region of Uganda. Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green has been and continues to be a remarkable story of the children’s passion, consistency, resilience, and dedication to environmental conservation.

Since its establishment in 2012, Little Hands Go Green, a dedicated civil society organization, has been at the forefront of nurturing a sustainable future for our children. Over the past decade, the organization has tirelessly invested time and resources in pioneering a model that assigns proprietary interest in the preservation of our planet to the younger generation.

Empowering Children for Environmental Revival:

Children have played a crucial role in reviving Mother Earth through their active involvement in various initiatives led by Little Hands Go Green. They have enthusiastically created green orchards at schools and homes, passionately participated in climate change strikes, eagerly joined and celebrated the annual green festivals, engaged in children’s climate change conferences and dialogues, and have also embarked on green caravans. These young environmental ambassadors have shown remarkable dedication to preserving our planet.

As we commemorate our 11th anniversary, we celebrate the remarkable achievements of all our green ambassadors and the extended green family. Their unwavering commitment has helped us come this far. Together, we have made significant strides towards creating a sustainable world for future generations.

While we celebrate our achievements, we recognize the pressing need to protect the next generation and safeguard our planet. The journey towards a green future is not a solitary one, but a collective responsibility that rests upon each and every one of us. It starts with the choices we make and the actions we take today.

Joseph Masembe, the CEO & Founder of Little Hands Go Green had this to say; ” The Success of Conservation depends on the young ones – the Little Hands! Thank you to all our gallant Green Ambassadors, 11 years of passion, consistency, and dedication to Environmental Conservation. And thank you to our Partners, Parents, Schools, Teachers and well wishers, not forgetting in a special way, my Super Green Team.”
