On 29th October 2018 , Little Hands Go Green will join our gallant Climate Justice comrades in the Trial of the Century. This Youth Climate Lawsuit by these 21 young Americans against the US government is an action for all of us in the world today.
Because of this therefore and to show our solidarity and support , Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green planted 1000 fruit trees on Monday 22nd October in 10 different Primary Schools as a dedication to our 21 American Little Hands that are simply asking the government to develop and implement a science- based National Climate Recovery Plan.
Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green is an organization that has for the past few years dedicated time and resources to pioneering a model that seeks to assign proprietary interest of a green future to our children. We embark on a campaign to trek across the whole Uganda with a legion of children who are taking it upon themselves to plant at least a fruit tree per child. The enthusiasm for the project among the children is very reassuring to say the very least. To date we have planted over 300,000 fruit trees across various districts with still a lot more work to do.
The Little Hands Go Green Founder had this to say “This trial is not only about the US, it’s a trial for humanity and all our wellbeing. As Little Hands Go Green, standing with you is all we can do. The 1000 fruit trees planted in 10 primary schools by our Green Ambassadors and other partners is our commitment to the winning Climate Justice War”
Uganda’s Little Hands Go Green pledge to stand in solidarity with Our children’s Trust on 29th October where they will involve children in schools against the fight as they will plant trees and educate children about climate and environmental conservation.
