Hundreds of children from various schools marched through kampala in support of initiatives to curb climate change.
The march organised by Little Hands Go Green attracted teachers, parents, and environmental activists.
The CEO of Little Hands Go Green Mr Joseph Masembe said children now understand what it means to lose or plant a tree, through his organisation”s activities.
He said walking through Kampala was a statement meant to awaken adults to follow their young ones.
Songs, poems, dances, and drama were performed to create awareness of climate change.
Children walked from City hall to Christ the King church down to Uganda House, before walking down to Security house and connecting with parliament avenue, back to city hall. The event was sponsored by Riham, Watchdog Uganda, NEMA, SBi, among others. Each child carried a tree back home to plant.
