Mother Majeri Primary school lights up our World Environment Day 2015

WED 2015

On Friday 5th June 2015 we joined the rest of the world to celebrate World Environment Day.

With 7 billion dreams and 1 planet, we visited Mother Majeri Primary school on the outskirts of Kampala City to celebrate with the over 1000 school pupils. We were treated to drama and songs as well as using the moment to award Green Certificates to the Environmental Clinate Justice ambassadors many of whom were delegates at our International Children’s Climate Change Conference 2015.

It was an amazing day and with an amazing Green song that has the entire school humming and singing in unison, it is our hope and belief  that the idea of making children the custodians of environmental conservation is a real solution to the challenge that our planet faces.

We planted 3 symbolic trees on that day and preached the environmental conservation gospel to an already sold crowd. Thanks to the support of Vivo Energy Uganda and the amazing Green Superstar team. We  will get ready to have these children launch their amazing Green Song at this years Green Festival that will take place on Sunday 23rd August 2015 at the Kololo Airstrip Independence grounds in Kampala Uganda. Tell a friend to tell a friend. Together we can help to make a much needed difference. If you would like to join us in any way at this year’s Green festival, drop us an email and we will get in touch: green@littlegreenhands.org
